Facts on Moses That You Should Know

Here is an important statement that Jesus made, which is key for you not to ignore:

“39) [You all investigate] [the] [writings]; [for] [in] [them] [you all] [suppose] [to have] [an ageless] [Life]: [And] [these] [are {they}] [that] [testify] [about] [me]. John 5:39 - My Provisionary Greek Translation.

His point is, just because you investigate the scriptures (the writings) and go line upon line and precept upon precept, it doesn't mean that you have an ageless life (eternal life). You will only receive an ageless life when you can see that the writings testify about Jesus Christ. You can debate that statement if you want to but it will not change the facts.

You must ask yourself then, “What did Moses know about Jesus Christ, which he hid in the things he wrote?” It must be hidden for a specific reason, and all the apostles refer to it as a mystery. So the first thing you need to know is that Jesus did not teach a chocolate-covered doctrine with Christianity in the middle. Moses and Jesus understood the truth, which was called “the teaching of Yahuah.” The teachings of the Pharisees were very different from what the people heard directly from Jesus. These differences led them to believe that Jesus was teaching a new doctrine that contained great power.

“And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.” Mark 1:27 KJV

The Yahudim (Jews) in the time of Jesus never heard the meaning and significance of the writings of Moses and the prophets before, which is why they claimed Jesus’ words to be some “new doctrine.” This is what happens when you lose the truth. And even in our day, the truth, for the most part, has been lost. It is fascinating that Hebrew Israelites believe our discovery of who we are gives them the gall to think they possess “the truth.” So how can we know the truth? Before I show you that, allow me to point out what Moses knew and the information he received from God while on Mount Sinai.

The evangelist Luke, who wrote the book of Acts, provided significant information concerning Moses that many people overlook. This information is key to understanding Moses’ mindset. In Acts chapter seven, Luke writes about an event that takes place between Stephen and the leaders of the Yahudim (Jews). Luke began writing about how there was a need for leadership over the administration of serving tables (Acts 6:1-2). So Stephen and a few other people were chosen to monitor that administration.

Afterwards, there arose men who caused a dispute with Stephen. Stephen, full of belief and the wind of God, expounded the scriptures, which these men could not resist. Their actions led to accusations that Stephen had to confront. His discourse begins with the history of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Then he begins to touch on the Israelites in Egyptian captivity. Then he makes what can arguably be the most important statement given.

“And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.” Acts 7:22

This may be a simple statement, but Moses did not write it into his five scrolls. Why? This is because the people who came out of Egypt would have known the story already. Stephen’s statement carries significant weight because he lets us know that Moses was basically educated in all the belief systems of Egypt and that he fully understood what the idiom "...mighty in words and in deeds" meant from an Egyptian perspective. It is not your perspective or the Pharisees' perspective.

For the ancient Egyptians, they believed that “the word was the deed.” This is because, to them, speaking words brought them into existence. Names were believed to carry the essence of a being, and knowledge of a true name granted power. Hieroglyphs were not just letters but living symbols, possessing the power to manifest. This principle elevates vocalization, intention, and precise language to acts of creation. This principle is what’s meant by Moses being, “...mighty in words and in deeds.” Moses had the true knowledge of the Name of God. Being able to correctly pronounce the name of a god is only half of the battle in the Egyptian perspective. You had to know what the name meant; without understanding its meaning and significance, its power was limited.

This is why the apostles were able to perform the miracles through the name of Jesus. Jesus’ name carried the meaning and significance of who he is, that is, the word of God. As the word of God, he possessed all power to sustain heaven, earth, and everything in her because he is God. The issue is, just like it was for the Egyptians, that the name of God, our God, like the Egyptians' god, is hidden. Only those who are aware of the secret name know it. This situation is why Paul says this:

“Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,” Romans 16:25 KJV

This mystery that was hidden since the world began is the name of God, who is Jesus Christ. The name of God is the word he spoke into existence at the beginning of creation on the first day. He said this:

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” Genesis 1:3 KJV

We know that this word came into existence because the apostle John said this:

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5

The point is that God spoke his name into existence and that name is God, the one true God. And because I understand a substantial portion of Egyptian documents, I know that God created himself in this physical existence. There is an Egyptian hymn that the one true God mocked, which is the source of what God was mocking in Genesis 1:1-2, but you don’t need to see that yet. Let’s cover the basics first.
